I've spent over 12 years working in international organisations and global tech companies (European Commission, European Central Bank, Google, Skyscanner). I've built and lead teams, programmes and products. I've created online and in-person communities. I've lead workshops, taught university classes and spoke at events and conferences. I've guided individuals in career coaching and mentoring.
I've trained as a yoga teacher, studied and followed spiritual and holistic practices, always honouring and seeking the body-mind-spirit connection.
And through all that, I've been guided by a deep sense of curiosity, vulnerability, authentic connection and self expression.
Though I was able to achieve and do all of that and I thoroughly enjoyed it all, it didn't come easy. I was very shy, always worried what others thought of me. I lacked confidence and self trust. I found it difficult to express my needs, to establish boundaries and speak my mind. I took things personally and at times was very defensive. I was always alert and found it hard to trust others. Experiencing life from this place, building a career and relationships was incredibly exhausting, it takes a toll on you, on your physical and mental state.
After a severe burnout and trying various holistic modalities, I discovered nervous system regulation and somatic work.
And slowly my life started to change.
This work transformed how I see and hold myself and how I experience the world. Over time, through deeper connection with myself, I developed self trust and confidence. I was doing everything I had done before but this time everything was different. I switched careers and moved into Product Management right after my burn out. I continued studying as well as offering career coaching and consulting. But now, everything came from a place of calmness, acceptance and self compassion. The voice of the inner critic has started to quiet down. I stopped playing small and started speaking up and showing up.
And as I continued my studies into trauma, the nervous system and somatic work, I started seeing everywhere that the state of the nervous system was shaping who we are and how we experience the world. I saw it in my career coaching clients. I saw it in the leaders I worked with. I saw it in my personal relationships.
The more I studied and experienced the power of somatic work, the more I knew this was the path I wanted to follow. I left my role in tech and stepped into this work fully - guiding individuals, leaders and groups into deeper connection with their bodies, their truth and their own way of leading.
